In the world we live in, more and more attention is being paid to the gases that surround us and are involved in various production processes.
But really... Do we know how a gas sensor works and what it measures?
A gas sensor is a device that detects the presence or concentration of gases in the atmosphere. Based on the concentration of the gas, the sensor produces a corresponding difference in potential by changing the resistance of the material inside the sensor, which can be measured as the output voltage. Based on this voltage value, the type and concentration of the gas can be estimated.
These sensors can be based on different technologies depending on the target gas or application: semiconductor, infrared, ultrasonic, electrochemical, catalytic, PID (photoionization detector).
The application of gas sensors can be very wide. Applications for heat work, fire and emergency response, maintenance shutdowns, plant supervision, food industry, warehouses and even swimming pools.
In Atelei, we have worked extensively with all types of gas sensors and have the necessary experience to develop innovative products based on this type of technology. If you have a project in which this type of technology is involved. Do not hesitate...
